Our Story

clearpeak-service was established to address a persistent gap in ecological consulting: the disconnect between rigorous environmental assessment and the practical realities of development projects.

Too often, ecological reports arrived late, used impenetrable jargon, or offered mitigation options that bore no relation to project economics. We set out to do things differently.

Today, our team works alongside architects, planners, and contractors from project inception. We translate ecological requirements into actionable guidance and design mitigation strategies that protect wildlife without derailing timelines.

What Guides Our Work

Three principles shape every project we undertake, from initial scoping through final report delivery.

Scientific Integrity

Our assessments stand on robust methodology and honest interpretation. We present findings as they are, not as clients might prefer to hear them.

Practical Focus

Ecological advice serves little purpose if it cannot be implemented. We ground recommendations in construction realities and budget constraints.

Clear Communication

Technical reports need not be opaque. We write for planning officers, project managers, and ecologists alike, ensuring key messages reach all audiences.

Credentials and Affiliations

All senior ecologists hold full membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and adhere to its professional code of conduct.

Our survey licences cover bat roost disturbance, great crested newt handling, and badger sett interference across England, Scotland, and Wales. We maintain appropriate insurance coverage and health and safety accreditations for construction site access.

We contribute to the profession through CIEEM peer review panels, local biodiversity recording schemes, and mentoring programmes for early-career ecologists.
